Privacy Policy
Tidy News is independently developed in Zurich, Switzerland. This policy explains what data the service collects, why, and what happens when you delete your account. The short version: your data is used to run the service, is never sold or shared, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.
Data we collect
Account data — your email address and a hashed password, stored so you can log in. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Content data — your feed subscriptions, categories, and which articles you have read or starred. This is what the service does.

Settings — theme, language and sorting preferences.

Server logs — IP addresses and request times, kept for the technical operation and security of the service. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party sharing, no cookies beyond your login session.
Why we process it
Solely to provide the service you registered for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — contract) and to operate it securely (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest). Data is processed on servers located in the European Union or Switzerland and is not transferred to third countries.
Deletion
You can delete your account yourself in the app settings (Profile → Delete account). This immediately and irreversibly removes your account with all feeds, articles, read and starred marks, and settings. Feed definitions you created stay available to other subscribers of the same feed. You may also request deletion or a copy of your data at any time via the contact below.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability (GDPR Art. 15–20, Swiss FADP Art. 25ff). To exercise them, contact us or use the self-service deletion in the app.
